Vantage Building Safety Ltd are ideally placed to provide the CDM Advisory & Principal Designer duties (CDM PD) role for The Construction Design & Management (CDM)Regulations 2015 for your project.

As the Client, you have the duty to ensure your project is run in compliance to these regulations, from initial concept, through design and to completion.

Our services include friendly and efficient assistance with the Pre-construction, the review of the Contractors / Principal Contractors Construction Phase Plan through to Practical Completion and the Health and Safety File.

RIBA Stage 0 – Strategic Definition

We can review building safety to ensure project viability,

Provide Building Regulations training to the design team.

RIBA Stages 1-2 – Preparation and Brief – Concept Design

We can provide design stage Building Regulations advise,

Advise duty-holders,

Support with design team competence assessment,

Assistant with Gateway 1 planning application,

Assistance with preparation of a Building Safety Assessment,

Collate information in relation to the ‘Golden Thread’ of building information.

RIBA Stages 3-4 – Concept and Developed Design

We can provide design stage Building Regulations advise,

Design stage fire safety strategy and statement,

Assist with Gateway 2 building regulations application,

Coordination with design team and fire engineer,

Consultation with Fire Authority,

Undertake Building Regulations compliance review,

Assistance with competency assessment of the principal contractor.

RIBA Stage 5 – Construction

We can provide Building Regulations advise for change management of materials and construction,

Undertake fire safety inspections and key stages of construction,

Collate and prepare for the submission of Gateway 3,

Collate information in relation to the ‘Golden Thread’ of building information,

Complete building safety case information,

Undertake pre-completion inspection to ensure Building Regulations compliance.

RIBA Stage 6 – Hand Over and Close Out

We can coordinate fire safety information,

Witness pre-completion testing, cause and effect witnessing,

Collate completion information for submission to the Building Control Approver or BSR,

Assist with submission of Gateway 3.

RIBA Stage 7 – In Use

We can assist with preparation of the Building Safety Management Systems,

Provide client guidance on the building fire safety systems,
